GENERAL FESTIVAL INFORMATION

When and where is the festival?

Light the Nations is on Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 2pm-10pm. The festival takes place at 51st Ave between Georgia Ave and Michigan Ave.

Where can I park?

Parking can be found on side streets surrounding the festival. Please follow posted signs and be courteous to our neighbors when parking.

Can I use a rideshare to get to and from the festival?

Yes! We recommend using a rideshare as a safe and easy way to get to and from the festival.

Is this a family friendly event?

Yes, this is a family friendly event and all are welcome to attend.

ONSITE POLICIES

Can I bring outside food or drink?

No. Outside food and drinks other than water are prohibited. Please see the full list of prohibited items before arriving and be aware that all bags are subject to search upon entry.

Will restrooms be available at the festival?

Yes, restrooms will be located on Indiana Ave. Hand sanitizing centers will be located inside each restroom. Handicap restrooms will be available.

Will there be food and drinks available?

Yes, there will be food vendors and bars will be selling water, soda, and alcoholic beverages.


What is the bag policy?

Bags and backpacks are allowed and will be subject to search upon entry. Please review the full list of prohibited items before arriving for a stress-free entry


What happens if it rains?

This festival is rain or shine. Any postponement or cancellation due to severe weather will be communicated via social media and email as necessary

Can I bring my pet?

We love pets! Friendly, leashed pets are welcome. Please be mindful of the weather when determining whether you should bring your pet to the event. Additionally, we ask that you clean up after your pet when nature calls.

Can I smoke at the festival?

No. Smoking is not allowed at any event as it may disturb others in attendance.

I lost / found an item. What should I do?

Items will be held for 14 days following the event. Reach out to hello@goodneighborfestivals.com regarding lost and found items

Allowed & Prohibited Items: 

The following items are allowed at this event:

  • Refillable water bottles

  • Bags and backpacks are allowed and will be subject to search upon entry

The following items and activities are prohibited at this event:

  • Outside food or drink, including alcoholic beverages.

  • Coolers

  • Scooters/Bikes

  • Amplified sound systems

  • Disorderly conduct

  • Littering

  • Advertising, selling, or promoting any third party product (including, but not limited to, food and beverage items)

  • Fireworks

  • Generators

  • Grills or fryers

  • Kerosene lamps or open flames of any kind

  • Laser pointers

  • Drones

  • Noisemakers

  • Tents, stand umbrellas, and tarps

  • Weapons of any kind

Please be aware that all bags, backpacks, etc. will be subject to search upon entry into the festival. Prohibited items will be confiscated and will not be held for later pickup.

SECURITY MEASURES

The festival works closely with local authorities to ensure the safest possible experience. You’ll notice uniformed security throughout the event. They’re there to keep you safe, so don’t hesitate to ask them for help if you need immediate assistance.

Please review the allowed and prohibited items list for a stress-free entry process, and email hello@goodneighborfestivals.com if you have questions. Prohibited items will be confiscated and will not be held for later pickup. 

REMEMBER: You’re the eyes and ears of the festival. If you see something suspicious, say something.

HOW TO GET HELP

Medical Emergencies:
If you or a friend needs emergency assistance at the festival or if you see someone who looks like they need help, look for security personnel, any festival staff members, or anyone with a radio to assist you.‍ Staff will call 911 in the event of an emergency.

First Aid:

A First Aid kit is located behind the Georgia Ave Stage.
